Class Description: "Finding the 1" Struggling to find the beat in salsa music? You're not alone! Many dancers, especially those new to salsa or not raised listening to its vibrant rhythms, face this challenge. That’s why we created "Finding the 1"—a fun, interactive class designed to help you connect with the heartbeat of salsa music. In this class, we’ll focus on: Finding the Downbeat ("1"): Learn to identify the main beat that anchors salsa music. Active Listening: Dive into the music, letting your ears guide your movement as we play a variety of salsa tracks. Navigating Time Changes: Gain confidence when the rhythm shifts unexpectedly. Exploring Timba: Understand the unique structure and flavor of Cuban salsa music. This is not a lecture—it's a hands-on experience!
