MAMBO 205 (M205a) - Level 2 Mambo (Salsa On2) This is the fifth Level 2 course of Mambo Classes for intermediate beginners. It is expected that the student has a general understanding of Latin/Afro Caribbean rhythms. For the individuals that still have a little difficulty finding the rhythm or maintaining their steps, it is highly suggested that they take M99 and/or M101 concurrently with this class. This class is perfect for individuals that exhibit proficiency at leading and following basic moves - right turns, left turns, cross body leads - in rhythm (On2). The student should also have a general understanding of basic body movements and how they connect with the basic step. This course comprises of progressive classes. This means each class would build on information from the previous class. It is highly recommended that students register for the course at the beginning of each month and plan to attend all classes consecutively. A skipped class can be made up on a different day of the week (if the class is offered) but missed classes cannot “roll-over” into the subsequent month/course. Prerequisite: M101 - M106 or consent of the instructor.
